VISP provides a mirror site for OpenSource distros

VISP ISP is the first company to join the OpenSource lobbying initiative by comming forth and providing local mirrors for  various distributions. These distributions will be reachable within the lebanese IP networks free of charge. The mirror sites will include pre-selected Linux, Unix & BSD distros. In the future, the mirror site will also include updates for the distros in question and will be regularily maintained.

VISP ISP has a broad experience using OpenSource to benefit from and developing its business services. OpenSource has made it possible for VISP to better serve its customers. VISP employees have a long experience with Linux and OpenSource and have stepped forward to share and further support OpenSource within Lebanon.

An open dialog has been maintained to further develop this support for the OpenSource initiative in Lebanon. Hopefully this will bring a broader infrastructure and delivery channels. Stay tuned for more info!
